Hello Again!!! So, since I didn’t post yesterday, I’m posting twice today. Right now, I’m going to show you a tutorial on how to do dutch braids on your doll.
YOU WILL NEED:
- Rubber Bands
2. A hairbrush
LET US BEGIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brush out your doll’s hair so there are no knots or lumps. Make sure all of your doll’s hair is back behind her shoulders.
Locate your doll’s part and put your finger on it.
Slowly drag your finger all the way down from the part through your doll’s hair, until you reach the tips.
Your doll’s hair should now be separated into two sections.Gently pull them away from each other to rest on opposite ends of your doll’s back.
Take a rubber band.
Tie off one of the two sections.
Grab hold of the other section.
Take a small section of that section….That doesn’t sound right but you get what I mean.:)
Split THAT section into three sections. Do your best to make them as equal as possible.
Cross one strand UNDER the other, instead of over. Continue adding strips of hair to each section as you braid.
Continue until you reach the bottom.
Tie off the end with a rubber band.
Repeat on the other side………
AND YOU’RE FINISHED!!!!!!!!
Note: The doll used for this tutorial, Emily (Truly Me #59), has layers, which made it more difficult to braid her hair. I would recommend doing this hairstyle on dolls with longer, thicker hair, like Grace.
So-long for not-so-long,
